Weekend

There’s a lot going on this weekend and here are some of the highlights.

Friday

The Rum Bar is having a full moon party complete with a steel drum band from 5 to 9pm and Tommy Bahama drink specials all night.

And also tonight is the Dance of the Ripe Tomatoes at the White Dog Cafe. There’ll be tents so you can stay dry as you celebrate delicious fruit. (It should be noted that White Dog is a paying sponsor of Foobooz and we thank them for that. And you should go to their block party. It’ll be fun.)

Saturday

Underutilized Penn Treaty Park will be the scene of running, music and of course food as the River City Festival brings out some of Fishtown’s best restaurants.

From the Delaware River hike over to A Full Plate at Liberties Walk in Northern Liberties for their Rib Cook Off.

Sunday

Take a train trip to Jenkintown (did you know SEPTA offers discount weekend tickets?) for the Jenkintown Jazz and Brewfest.

Or take the 34 trolley to the first anniversary celebration of Dock Street Brewery at 50th and Baltimore.
