Coaching Buzz: Marrone Hired By Bills
Another twist in the ever-intensifying Eagles coaching search.
Syracuse head coach Doug Marrone, scheduled to interview with the Eagles in Arizona this weekend, has agreed to become the next head coach of the Bills, according to multiple reports.
This is particularly interesting because Joe Banner‘s Browns were said to have significant interest in Marrone.
Asked two sources whether the #Browns like Chip Kelly or Doug Marrone more: “They are deciding.” Was told neck-&-neck. #Staytuned

That would leave Kelly for the Browns. We know the Cleveland brass had a lengthy meeting with the Oregon coach Friday, and a report emerged shortly thereafter that the two sides were close to an agreement. Jeffrey Lurie and the Eagles got their chance on Saturday, though, and their lunch with Kelly spilled well into the night.
Kelly is on record as saying he would like this to be a quick process.
As I’ve been saying the longer this goes on the more you have to wonder if Chip Kelly ends up staying in school …

The Eagles have an interview scheduled for Sunday with Broncos offensive coordinator Mike McCoy, and are slated to meet with Seattle defensive coordinator Gus Bradley and Colts offensive coordinator Bruce Arians this week. They have also requested permission to speak with Bengals OC Jay Gruden.
