Does that ASPCA commercial with Sarah McLachlan get you every time? Well, now you have the opportunity to prevent animal abuse this Sunday, May 22, at Citizens For A No-Kill Philadelphia’s With Love-Super Adoption Day —and take home a pet that’s looking for love while you’re at it. Toted as “the largest adoption event in Philadelphia history,” animal shelters and rescues from around the metropolitan area will be looking to match their furry charges with loving homes. Even if you don’t leave with a new cat or dog, you can still enjoy the many family-friendly vendors, activities (including a puppy playground!), and live entertainment provided all afternoon. — Kathryn Siegel

Free attendance ($150 for vendors, $75 for non-profits), May 22, 12PM-4PM, The Piazza at Schmidts, North 2nd Street & Germantown Avenue.
