State House Won’t Vote on Liquor Privatization Until Next Week

Last week, we were all told that the Pennsylvania House of Representatives would be voting this week on a proposal that would privatize the state’s liquor sales. We all balked at the claim, but the House said, “For reals. We’re totally going to vote on it next week. Pinky promise.” Well, it’s now officially next week and the House is all, “We’ll get to it Monday.” They should be careful with all of this procrastination. One time—when we were in school—we put off a science presentation until the night before (even though we had all marking period to work on it) and ended up using one of those little baseball-helmet-ice-cream-dish thingies as a mitochondrial model. It was a disaster. [Inquirer]
