Forget Sesame Street: These Clips Would Really Torture Prisoners at Guantanamo Bay
We recently caught wind of a TMZ report that an Al Jazeera documentary explains that sound is often used to torture prisoners at Guantanamo Bay. They make specific reference to hard rock, Johnny Cash and Sesame Street. That last one caught everyone a little off guard at first. But, the more we though about it, the more using Sesame Street as an instrument of torture made complete sense. So, we started an email thread to determine what the Philly Post staffers would be most afraid of if they were strapped to chairs in a cell with and subjected to hours of sound torture.
Zoobilee Zoo. Yeah, you probably forgot all about this show. Good luck getting this out of your head sometime before Christmas.
Barney. It’s just as brutal as you remember, trust us. Plus, irony!
Lamb Chop. Ugh. We’re actually sorry about including this one, you guys.
Forman Mills. Or, should we say, “Fooooooormaaaaan Miiiiiills!”
“Anything With Fran Drescher.” Like this one, with twice as much Fran.
Black Eyed Peas. “That Black Eyed Peas song about how tonight’s gonna be a good night.”
Rebecca Black. She’s always good to help remind us that the weekend is here, but at high volume and on repeat (or at a whisper and 40 seconds in) we wouldn’t be able to stand it.
Ren and Stimpy. Somehow we’re pretty sure that all of the happy, happy joy, joy would subside rather quickly.
Hover Bacon. Can you imagine a world with hover bacon? Well, can ya, punk?
Bed Intruder. Sure, it’s catchy. But you’d hear it more than 28 times an hour for 12 hours. We’ll politely pass, thank you.
