You Could Get Married in the Courtyard at The Logan Hotel for Free

The latest venue to support couples whose weddings have been impacted by the coronavirus pandemic is The Logan, Philadelphia’s Hotel. The popular destination is offering up the use of its outdoor courtyard for intimate ceremonies of 10 to 20 for free until it resumes normal operations. The program also includes photography by Philip Gabriel at no cost, as well as a gift certificate for an overnight stay for you to celebrate once the destination has reopened.

“We are thrilled to be a part of something positive and to help bring happiness to these couples,” says general manager JoAnn Wrenn. The program is specifically available to pairs whose weddings have been canceled or postponed, and it comes at a time when many have had to scramble to figure out their plans and try to still say “I do” on their timeline.

Those who are eligible are only provided access to the semiprivate 4,000-square-foot space, which is surrounded by the hotel on three sides and abundant with greenery. Decor will not be provided, though chairs are set up for the ceremony and sanitized before and after. Additionally, Robertson’s Flowers has partnered with the venue and is discounting its blooms for these ceremonies. There will be no food and beverage services, though duos could order to-go from nearby Urban Farmer to take back to their own home. The hotel is also following social distancing requirements and other health guidelines outlined by the CDC and government to ensure the safety of the duos, their guests and staff. The chairs are set up at least six feet apart, and all staff members wear masks and maintain appropriate distance.

A typical ceremony fee at the venue would be about $2,500, with a wedding starting at around $15,000 depending on the space and size. The Logan typically hosts about 30 weddings each year. Since the program’s launch about two weeks ago, 30 couples have inquired, and 15 are currently moving forward. The first ceremony took place this past weekend; the team is currently confirming unions through June 20th.
