Jerry Sandusky Case Prompts PA Representative to Introduce Legislation


Pennsylvania Rep. Dan Deasey—and a slew of his constituents who co-signed—want Pennsylvania to pass the Pennsylvania Attorney General Mandated Reporter Law. It’ll force state Attorney Generals of the future to notify local law enforcement officials when suspect in their region is trafficking in child abuse images, or child pornography. The Jerry Sandusky case—and the way it was handled by then Attorney General Tom Corbett—prompted PROTECT, an organization dedicated to lobbying for legislation that protects children from all kinds of abuse.
