Set Your New Year’s Resolutions at This New Wellness Event in Fishtown
Channel good vibes for 2020 at the inaugural Manifestival on December 28th.
Making your New Year’s resolutions is one thing. Keeping them is another. To help you set and execute goals for 2020 that are “smart” — specific, measurable, attainable, realistic, and timely — Fishtown-based ritual tool brand and event space, Elements of Aura, is hosting their very first wellness conference. It’s focused on intention-setting, mindfulness, and all the good vibes. Because setting resolutions and intentions is essentially a practice in self-care, amiright?
December 28th’s Manifestival will consist of a full day of panels, workshops, and discussions meant to empower not just your new year, but your whole self: mind, body, and spirit. Plus, the conference will feature some of Philly’s top wellness leaders and businesses, including sound meditation artist Luna Maye and Sabbatical Beauty’s Korean beauty-inspired skincare.
At 9 a.m., arrive at Elements of Aura in “comfy casual” attire (a.k.a. yoga pants and an over-sized sweatshirt, or whatever makes you feel good!) and enjoy coffee and tea compliments of Caphe Roasters and The Wellness Refinery. The conference will officially kick off at 10 a.m. with morning meditation and some hypnotherapy (!) led by Colette Condor Medicine, followed by a workshop on energy and healing and guided journaling on appreciation and mindfulness.
After a nourishing lunch provided by Honeygrow, you’ll have time to get aura photographs, tarot readings, mini Gua Sha facials from Lynn Gallagher, and learn at-home skincare routines from Sabbatical Beauty. The event will conclude with a panel discussion on rituals for success in 2020, plus networking over mocktails and shopping self-care items from conference vendors.
Elements of Aura founder Melanie Maslany, who creates ritual kits and crystal manifestation grids, says Manifestival operates on the same three principles as her product line: ethics, education, and uplifting. “I designed Manifestival to be dynamic, collaborative, informative and a little extra,” Maslany says. “I always want people to come away with a deep understanding of what they’re using or doing, while also feeling part of a community.”
If you want to bring more positive energy into 2020, you can buy your $50 ticket to Manifestival here. And as a reminder, the event runs from 9 a.m. through 5 p.m. on December 28th at 2424 Coral Street in Fishtown.
