Sources: Chuck Peruto’s Deceased Girlfriend Had Seizure, then Drowned

According to “two law enforcement officials familiar with the investigation,” the death of Chuck Peruto’s girlfriend Julia Law was caused by drowning, possibly after a seizure. They came to that conclusion because she was found to have been “frothing at the mouth.” And unlike another infamous drowning case involving a female friend of a prominent Philadelphian, illicit substances didn’t appear to play a role, either.

No drugs or alcohol were found at the scene, the room was undisturbed, and the liquor closet was closed, the officials said. Nothing, they said, seemed out of place.

For official word on Law’s cause of death, we’ll have to wait for the autopsy report, which hasn’t been released yet. [Inquirer]
