Cava Sets Its Opening Date in Rittenhouse, Plans to Cure Your Chipotle Blues
The D.C.-based Mediterranean specialist will bring its customizable salads, grain bowls and pitas to Philly with two new locations.
D.C.-based Mediterranean fast-casual chain (that D.C. people love to rave about), Cava, is getting in on Philly’s fast casual action with two locations in the Philadelphia region set to open this year — the first one coming very soon.
The brand which specializes in customizable salads, grain bowls and pitas, in addition to juices and soups, will open a 29-seat outpost at 1713 Chestnut Street next week, January 24th. The day before (January 23rd), the team will host “Community Day,” providing free meals (lunch between 10:45 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. and dinner from 5 – 7 p.m.) The restaurant will take donations during the day to benefit The Food Trust, their local non-profit partner.
They’ve also got plans to open a 58-seat location at 40 Coulter Avenue in Ardmore’s Suburban Square this summer. Check out the menu here.
Cava Group, which acquired Zoë’s Kitchen (a competitor with locations in the Philly ‘burbs) last year, has more than 300 locations nationwide. The Philly-area Cava stores will be its first in Pennsylvania.
