F45 Training’s New HIIT Gym Is Now Open in Northern Liberties
This is be F45 Training’s fourth Philly-area location to date.
Last February, we told you about the gym that was bringing an Australian-originated HIIT workout, and reportedly 10 new locations, to Philly. Back in June, we tried the insanely hard workout just to make it out alive (barely) and tell you about it. Well, now we’re here to tell you that F45 Training is set to open its a new location this month, and we have some exclusive pictures of the new space.
Out of the 10 locations they plan to have around the city (and the ‘burbs), three are currently open. The Bryn Mawr and Ivyland locations opened around the same time back in 2018, Manayunk opened in early December, and now the newest location to join the ranks will be in Northern Liberties. The space is clean, open, with lots of different equipment placed around the room — including dumbbells, kettlebells, spin bikes, weight benches, and more — that comes into play during the high intensity circuit workouts. Aside from the single studio space, this location also has some swanky showers in the locker rooms for cleaning up post-sweat session.
Not sure what to expect in an F45 Training workout? Well, besides it being super challenging, the “F” stands for functional and the 45 references the length of the class, which is 45-minutes. It is a HIIT circuit that incorporates rapidly moving interval stations that combine cardio, strength training, and functional movements. Don’t worry, each class draws from a library of 3,500 different exercises, so you’ll never do the same workout twice.
The new F45 Training Northern Liberties will be located at 117 Spring Garden Street. The gym is currently open, and planning to celebrate a grand opening on January 12th. Ready to give it a shot? You can sign up here for a complimentary one week trial at the new location.
