Philly Has a New CBD Store, and It’s Actually Kind of Gorgeous
Anthology Wellness, Philly's new CBD store, is now open in Northern Liberties.
As if we needed more proof that the CBD trend is full-blown in Philly there’s now an entire store devoted to the stuff in Northern Liberties. That’s right: On October 5, Anthology Wellness, Philly’s new retail spot for all things CBD, opened its doors. And you know what? It’s kind of gorgeous inside.

The shop shares a storefront with Exit Skateshop on Second Street, which just underwent an overhaul. Inside, you’ll find two different lines of CBD products. The first is Anthology Wellness’ own collection of CBD salves and tinctures that blend the hemp-plant extract cannabidiol with ingredients like shea butter, coconut oil, and beeswax.
The second line is Adaptation, a collection of products that contain a stronger CBD potency, including topical lotions and tinctures and bath products. The brand plans to continue developing more products; they’ve currently got some CBD pens in the works.
To create the CBD-infused products, Anthology Wellness works with a hemp flower farm in Oregon, along with Udoxi Scientific, an essential oil extraction company in Portland.
The idea to open a CBD store was inspired by founding owner Mike Beck’s mother, who started using a CBD tincture after being diagnosed with fibromyalgia and lupus. After watching her positive experience, Beck decided he wanted to share CBD with the world.
The shop is now open seven days a week at 825 N. 2nd Street in Northern Liberties. Take a peak inside here, then go visit in person to check out the products for yourself.
