Your First Look at Fitler Club’s Wedding and Event Spaces

Good news: you don't have to be a member to get married there.

There’s been a lot of talk about Fitler Club. About how it’s poised to be the Union League of New Philadelphia. About how it could make private clubs cool again. About how, when it opens early next year, its fitness facilities are going to be really, really fancy. Of course, all of these details are only relevant to Fitler Club members, but there is a loophole to getting inside: booking your wedding there. Today we’re excited to share a sneak peek at the Fitler Club wedding and event spaces, which will be open to non-members.

Garden Entrance

First up, the entrance/outdoor space. Valet will pick up cars at 24th and Ludlow, and guests will walk right up to Fitler’s “garden” space. At 1,365 square feet, it will be a great option for an outdoor ceremony space or cocktail hour.

Ballroom Foyer

The “pre-function” space is the ballroom foyer. At 1,500 square feet, it will be a great option for indoor cocktail hour during the colder months.

The Ballroom

This unique 4,600-square-foot space will have ceilings 16 to 21 feet high. A substantial steel trust will run through the center of the ceiling, and there will be an exposed brick feature wall and reclaimed hardwood floors. Capacity is 500 for a standing reception, or 375 for a seated dinner in rounds.

The Trophy Room

Located just off the ballroom, this 3,100-square-foot flexible event space will have bowling lanes, billiards, ping pong, foosball, a photo booth, and more fun stuff. The mezzanine level can also work as a lounge.

The first Fitler Club wedding is already booked for May 4th. (They’ll be hosting mitzvahs and other events starting in late January.) Catering will be lead in-house by Philly celeb chef Kevin Sbraga, who, after a run on Top Chef, opened (and then sadly closed) a variety of well-liked restaurants in the area.

The most exciting news, though, may be Fitler’s fourteen on-site hotel rooms, which are also public-facing. Book any number for yourselves, your wedding party, and/or your family members, and the inhabitants of each room will be granted full Fitler Club member status for the duration of their stay. From a wedding-planning perspective, that means, if your party reserves six or more rooms, you can host your rehearsal dinner in the restaurant, screen photo slideshows in the private movie theater, and even book private fitness classes for you and your bridesmaids the morning of the wedding. From a relax-and-enjoy-yourself perspective, it means you can visit the spa, use the climbing wall and lap pool, book a last-minute personal training session, and more. Of the fourteen rooms, two will be “master” suites with over 1,000 square feet of floor space, three will be junior suites, and the rest will be standard rooms.
