Is there really any better feeling than getting in a workout in the great outdoors? Most of us spend eight-plus hours a day stuck inside and staring at computer screens so a daily “recess” is crucial for our sanity.
Bella Vista’s Charge Performance and Wellness is hooking us up with a serious dose of outdoor boot camp workouts in May. Oh yeah, and they’re totally free! The first four Wednesdays in May will feature a different boot-camp-style workout, each focusing on one piece of equipment like battle ropes, bands, and medicine balls. The workouts will kick off at 6:30 p.m. at a different Philly park each week, including Washington Square, Rittenhouse, Clark Park, and the Art Museum steps.
While it’s totally free to sign up for these pop-up workouts, there are only 20 spots available each week. You’ll definitely want to sign up ahead of time to secure your spot, which you can do here. Peep the schedule below:
May 2: Battle Ropes at Washington Square Park
May 9: Superbands and Minibands at Clark Park
May 16: Maces and Clubs at The Art Museum Steps
May 23: Medicine Balls at Rittenhouse Square
Needless to say, we can’t wait for warmer weather and a good sweat — just be sure to bring your own water and yoga mat.
