ReAnimator’s West Philly Location Is Now Open
They're serving pour-overs and artisan pastries at 47th and Pine Streets.

West Philadelphia just got a new third-wave coffee shop over the weekend.
Kensington-based roaster ReAnimator Coffee opened its third location on Saturday in Garden Court Plaza at 4701 Pine Street. Real estate developer Post Brothers purchased the 1920s-era apartment building, which has several first-floor retail locations, in 2015.
For their first outpost west of the Schuylkill, founders Mark Capriotti and Mark Corpus went for a similar look (and the same designer, Paul Maiello) as their other locations — but using different materials, like walnut and brass, to mimic the building’s details.
Food-wise, they’re offering locally sourced toasts — Lost Bread Co.’s smoked potato bread toasted with options like local sunflower oil, avocado, microgreens, and za’atar, or Trickling Springs Creamery’s grass-fed butter, peanut butter, and preserves.
Capriotti and Corpus have two other ReAnimator locations, one in Fishtown and one in Kensington, and are partners in Center City all-day cafe Res Ipsa.
They’re also involved in the first brick-and-mortar location of Hello Donuts at Frankford Avenue and Amber Street along with musicians Joseph Marro, Ben Walsh, Zack Zarrillo, and Scott Luciano.
