These Wedding Photos in Philly’s First Snowfall Are Pure Magic
What winter wedding dreams — and Pinterest boards — are made of.
Winter is here, whether we’re ready for it or not. This colder season provides a certain type of challenge for the styling and photography of weddings (hello, gray street sludge and sub-zero temperatures) compared to the bright and scenic greenery-filled and nature-filled weddings that all the other seasons offer us. But winter can also provide a breathtaking and magical scene for a wedding if you’re lucky enough to catch it at the right time — which was just the case for Mary Katharine Bryan and James Melnick.
The two were married this past Saturday, December 6th, at the Merion Golf Club in Ardmore, in the first snowfall of the season—and the resulting portraits would 100% make a Disney princess jealous. The snow-filled backdrop of their post-wedding photoshoot, along with the falling flurries and the bride’s fur shawl capture the glamour of what our winter wedding dreams are made of. See for yourself in the gorgeous portraits of the Melnicks big day, captured by Sarah DiCicco Photography.
