First Look: December at Cook

Cook is just releasing it’s new class schedule for December, and because you are a loyal Foobooz reader, you are once again getting the early preview of what’s going to be happening both behind the counter and on the floor.

Can I tease you with a couple names? Okay, how ’bout Peter Woolsey (from Bistrot La Minette) doing a French Christmas celebration on December 23rd, Monica Glass from 10 Arts doing holiday macaroons, Mark Hellyar from Buddakan in another Starr Series event, Honest Tom’s Tacos making an encore visit on the 9th and both Nick Macri (Southwark) and Brian Kane (Zahav) doing a one-night-only booze-and-charcuterie event on the 5th. Oh, and for those of you looking to throw a killer holiday party? Scott Schroeder from South Philly Tap Room is teaming up with Sly Fox for a class in holiday entertaining that should be just…awesome.

Registration went live at noon, and you can check out the full schedule below. But before you get to thinking about your plans for December, think about what you’re going to be doing tonight. Since we decided to yank out the chairs and lay on more booze, we’ve got a few extra seats available for our Foobooz/Philly mag pop-up cocktail party tonight at Cook, being thrown in celebration of our Bars Issue, currently on the stands. There’s going to be drinking. There’s going to be snacking. There’s going to be a tasting of the winning drink in the contest to find Philadelphia’s Official Cocktail. And also, just because we like ya, we’re going to be giving away super-cool, limited-edition presents to all-comers.
