Philly Runner Maps Route for the Ultimate Rita’s Run
It’s the first day of spring, and — more importantly — it’s free water ice day at Rita’s. They’ll be doling out free water ice until 9 p.m. tonight, and if you’re feeling ambitious, you’ll want to take note of this running route created by Dan Kyle and posted to the Run215 Facebook group. With the post, Kyle said, “First day of Spring means free water ice at Rita’s and free ice cream at Dairy Queen! Here, I made a handy running route so you can hit all the locations. You’re welcome, Run215’ers.” What a good samaritan, are we right?
Run215 tweeted the map out about earlier and I couldn’t help but smile from ear to ear when I saw it. The running route starts in Fishtown then takes you west, eventually turning down 16th Street to head to South Philly, then loops back around and heads north, stopping at seven Rita’s locations and ending at Dairy Queen in Washington Square West, where they also happen to be giving out free cones for the first day of spring.
You can see the map below. May the force be with you.
