Who Will Be Our Pecan Queen?

Tomorrow night Percy Street Barbecue will celebrate Louisiana’s annual Pecan Festival. The South Street Barbecue restaurant will be offering an all-you-can-eat-and-drink blow out. For $50, festival goers will dig into Chef Erin O’Shea’s New Orleans-inspired food (Smoked Brisket Po’Boys with debris gravy; Spicy Corn Pudding; Fried Oyster Baskets; Shrimp Remoulade and Sweet Potato Pie), Abita beer and Dixie cocktails.

Music will be provided by the Percy Street Stompers, featuring members of the West Philadelphia Orchestra. Female attendees can compete to be crowned Pecan Queen and the woman who can slam back an Abita Pecan Harvest beer the fastest wins one of O’Shea’s pecan pies (and our undying admiration).
