It’s True: SEPTA Regional Rail Back to Regular Schedule on Monday

It almost seems to good to be true.

On Monday, October 3rd, SEPTA Regional Rail will resume a regular weekday schedule, the organization announced today.

It’s the first return to normalcy since SEPTA sidelined its Silverliner V Regional Rail fleet in July because of a structural defect, prompting commuting chaos, heavily-adjusted schedules and disgruntled Regional Rail passengers across the region.

All lines will return to prior schedules come Monday, with the exception of the Media/Elwyn Line, which will have a new schedule starting October 2nd.

While SEPTA continues to operate with leased cars, the following four trains will see modifications on Monday, per a press release:

Paoli/Thorndale Line:
Train #9563 will change to Train #1563
This train will begin service at Suburban Station departing at 5:15 p.m. from Track 7. Customers traveling from Temple or Jefferson Station, wishing to connect with this train will board any southbound train going to Suburban Station

Trenton Line:
Train #9724 will change to Train #1724
This train will end service at Suburban Station arriving at 8:08 a.m. Customers traveling to Jefferson or Temple Station may connect with any northbound train leave from Track 1&2 at Suburban Station

Train #9745 will change to Train #1745
This train will begin service at Suburban Station departing at 4:50 p.m. from Track 5. Customers traveling from Temple or Jefferson Station, wishing to connect with this train will board any southbound train going to Suburban Station

Wilmington/Newark Line:
Train #9214 will change to Train #1214
This train will end service at Suburban Station arriving at 8:14 a.m. Customers traveling to Jefferson or Temple Station may connect with any northbound train leave from Track 1&2 at Suburban Station
