Eagles vs. Steelers 2016: Game Time, TV Schedule, Live Streaming, Channel, Odds and More
The Philadelphia Eagles’ 2016 NFL schedule continues this week as the team is set to play a home game against the Pittsburgh Steelers. The Eagles are trying to stay undefeated on the season after getting off to a 2-0 start.
Philadelphia’s Week 3 opponent is also without a loss. The 2-0 Steelers come to town after defeating Washington in Week 1 and the Bengals in Week 2. Pittsburgh figures to provide a significant challenge for the Eagles. The Steelers’ offense, led by Ben Roethlisberger, Antonio Brown, and current NFL leading rusher DeAngelo Williams, is one of the best units in the league. The Steelers are averaging nearly 32 points scored in their last 10 regular season games.
The Eagles are clearly underdogs in this matchup, but there’s reason to believe they have a chance to win this game. The Birds currently have the best point differential in the NFL. Rookie quarterback Carson Wentz has been very impressive in his first two starts. Head coach Doug Pederson has done a great job of putting Wentz in positions to succeed.
On defense, Jim Schwartz‘s unit is allowing the least amount of points in the NFL. Part of Philadelphia’s defensive success can be attributed to facing weak offenses. Still, the Eagles have forced four turnovers and recorded six sacks. They deserve credit for making plays.
There’s no question this is a measuring stick game for the Eagles. Philadelphia proved they can beat up on two bad teams in the first two weeks of this season. Now it’s time for them to show what they can do against a potential Super Bowl contender.
