Yes, Chris Christie Will Speak at the RNC
New Jersey governor Chris Christie will speak at the Republican National Convention tomorrow.
Christie is a prime-time speaker set to present a speech on the day of the convention’s “Make America Work Again” theme, which Donald Trump, Jr. will headline, along with former presidential candidate Ben Carson, U.S. Senator Shelley Moore Capito and actress Kimberlin Brown.
Christie has served as one of Donald Trump‘s key advisors since February, following the abandonment of his own presidential campaign. The N.J. governor suffered a blow after Trump selected Indiana governor Mike Pence as his running mate in a surprising move last week.

Until then, Christie, who has been called Trump’s “manservant” and is rumored to have fetched his McDonald’s order, had previously caught Trump’s eye as a vice presidential possibility.
Christie has remained silent since Trump selected Pence as his running mate. But before Trump made the announcement, Christie discussed a possible letdown in an interview with MSNBC.
“I’m a competitive person, so I’m not going to say it won’t bother me if I’m not selected,” Christie said in the interview. “Of course it bothers you a little bit.”
The Republican National Convention kicks off today at the Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland and will run until July 21st. The full list of announced speakers is available on the convention website.
