Chicken Parmesan French Fries at Blue Duck
Today is a beautiful day, a holiday where we can celebrate one of the more important food groups: the French fry. Restaurants and bars all over Philly are offering up special fries, some places are even giving them out for free.
Here is the list of the deals we found for National French Fry Day:
The Blue Duck
The Northeast Philly restaurant has some intense looking Chicken Parmesan fries on special today. And if you come in and photograph any of the fries off the menu and tag @BlueDuckPhilly you could win some swag. Hopefully one of those sweet Blue Duck snapback caps or 8-pixel duck tees.
Chickie’s and Pete’s
Obviously they were going to make the list. Fries for $1 and $5 pitchers of beer all day long.
The Little Lion
Their Southern Poutine, with house pork belly, short rib jus, housemade farmer’s cheese sauce, fried egg and scallion, will be just $5 all day long.
P’unk Burger
Fries will be just $1 when you purchase any burger or milkshake. You can grab plain, sweet potato, sea salt, or old bay seasoned and for just another dollar you can get them doused in truffle oil.
Pop Shop in Collingswood and Medford
The popular family restaurant is knocking a buck off all fry orders today. And since it is Wednesday, kids eat free with one adult entree purchase.
Tap Room on 19th
Fries are half-priced from now until midnight. They will have some special “off-menu” fries available like Mac and Cheese fries (pictured above), Crab Fries (real crab meat, fried jalapeno, cheddar cheese sauce), and Ma Po Tofu Fries (spicy pork, tofu, and Ma Po sauce) for $5.50 each.
Woodrow’s Sandwich Shop
Get free fries with any sandwich purchase today at this newish sandwich shop on South Street. And for the math challenged, free french fries are better than no french fries.
