Police: Man Sexually Assaulted 13-Year-Old Stepdaughter Last Night
The Philadelphia Police Department is asking for the public’s help in locating 39-year-old Frankford resident Malik Bailey, who is accused of sexually assaulting his 13-year-old stepdaughter last night.
According to an alert set out by police, Bailey’s stepdaughter told investigators that he came into her bedroom and dragged her into the basement, where he allegedly sexually assaulted her. The girl then reportedly ran to a neighbor’s house, and the neighbor called 911.
Police responded to the scene around 12:25 a.m. on Tuesday. From a vantage point at an adjacent home, police said they saw the girl’s mother lying unconscious on a bed in Bailey’s home, bleeding from a large wound on her head.
The SWAT team was called out but Malik Bailey was nowhere to be found. The girl was treated at St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children, while her mother was admitted to the ICU at Einstein Medical Center with blunt force trauma to the head.
If you have any information on Bailey, contact the Special Victims Unit at 215-685-3251 or call 911.
