Frontier Airlines Adds Two More New Flights from Philly

Frontier Airlines sure seems to love Philadelphia.

On Tuesday, the airline announced the addition of two new non-stop flights from the Philadelphia International Airport (PHL). That came on the heels of Frontier announcing the addition of 10 new non-stop flights from PHL just last week. It’s all part of a nationwide expansion plan that’s sure to increase competition for domestic air travel — and get the attention of behemoth’s like American Airlines and Delta Airlines.

The newly announced flights from PHL are: 

Columbus, Ohio (CMH): Starting on June 2, flights will run on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays.

San Antonio (SAT): Starting on May 13, flights will run on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays.

Previously, there were no non-stop flights from Philadelphia to San Antonio, according to the PHL airport, so Frontier should fill a void for business and leisure travelers.

Last week, Frontier announced new flights from PHL to Austin, Texas; Cincinnati; Cleveland, Kansas City, Mo.; Milwaukee; Nashville, Tenn.; New Orleans; Raleigh/Durham, N.C.; St. Augustine, Fla.; and Indianapolis.

Previously, there were no non-stop flights from PHL to St. Augustine or Austin. Flights to Cleveland, Kansas City, Milwaukee, New Orleans and Indianapolis will now see more competition, as they were previously just available through American Airlines.

Frontier also announced various route expansions in Philly last year, including new flights to Fort Myers, Fla., Montego Bay, Jamaica, Minneapolis, Houston, Atlanta, Charlotte and Chicago.

Now PHL boasts 133 non-stop destinations, including 38 international cities.
