Workout-and-Brunch Classes Are All the Rage — Here’s Where to Find Them
Looks like workout/brunch hybrids are officially a thing, and we are not mad about it all. A few weeks ago, we told you about a new monthly yoga-and-breakfast club at Hydro+Pose, and weeks before that, Animo hosted a yoga-and-brunch class at their Center City location. Now, Animo has a few more fitness-and-brunch shindigs coming up, and Lisa Ransing from Full Moon Fare (Remember her? She was behind this Namaste for Dinner yoga series.) is teaming up with South Kensington’s new Paperbox Yoga Studio for a yoga class followed by brunch in December. See? I told you workout/brunch hybrids are officially a thing.
Below, all the info on the upcoming sweaty brunch gatherings at Animo and Paperbox. Go, sign up to get your sweat (and mimosa) on.
What: Workout/Brunch with Freehouse Fitness Studio
When: Saturday, November 21st at 8 a.m. and Sunday, December 6th at 9 a.m. and 11 a.m.
Where: Animo, 1701 Arch Street, Center City
Cost: $30
What to expect: Animo has three upcoming brunch workout options, all taught by the folks from Freehouse Fitness, a soon-to-open fitness studio. The class on November 21st will be an hourlong mat-based sculpting class using weights and a ball, and the classes on December 6th will both be 50-minute rebounder classes (taught on a mini trampoline!). All of the classes will be followed with a vegan and vegetarian brunch bar, plus mimosas — because what is brunch without mimosas? You can sign up here.
What: Yoga+Brunch at Paperbox
When: Saturday, December 5th at 10 a.m
Where: Paperbox Yoga Studio, 1639 North Hancock Street, Suite 311, South Kensington
Cost: $35
What to expect: Gabrielle Sigal, owner of the new Paperbox Yoga Studio, will be leading a 45-minute Iyengar class followed by a vegan brunch prepared by chef Lisa Ransing. The two were behind the popular Namaste for Dinner yoga series back in March, so they’ve got the whole sweating-then-eating thing down pat. Their goal is to one, introduce you to the new studio space and two, help you de-stress and enjoy life before all the holiday madness kicks in. You can reserve your spot in the class by emailing them here.
