Adam Joseph Makes OUT100 List
6 ABC meteorologist Adam Joseph received national recognition this morning as he was named to the OUT100 list. The compilation, which is widely regarded as a who’s who of LGBTQ Americans, hits newsstands today.
Joseph was the first Philadelphia on-air major news personality to come out back in 2014, and viewers have come to follow Joseph, his partner, Karl, and their son, Jacob, through both his 6 ABC broadcasts and his Facebook page. The interview in OUT discusses Joseph’s love for fitness and the gym, and how post-baby he feels “indestructible.” He also jokes that he was “at the gym” during the Supreme Court’s recent marriage equality decision.
The meteorologist took to his Facebook page this morning to share his appointment to the list, and provided some rather touching comments:
“I am honored and excited to be named one of the top 100 influential LBGT persons of the year by Out Magazine. I share this with 99 other amazing individuals moving mountains in our community. They include actors, directors, dancers, politicians, artists, olympic athletes, and so many others. I must thank Karl and my son Jacob for showing me it’s perfectly ok to share with the world, the beautiful person you are, not matter how different you may feel. Reach for the stars, even those way beyond your reach.”
