Philly Cops Asking for Help After Teen, 13, and Brother Shot
Philadelphia police today released surveillance footage of a double drive-by shooting in Tioga earlier this week. A 13-year-old boy was shot five times, while his older brother was hit once. Cops reported they are both in critical but stable condition at Temple hospital.
The incident happened on the 3500 block of North 18th Street on Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. Cops say a black sedan pulled up next to the group and fired at least eight shots. From casings recovered at the scene, it was determined that the shooter used a 9mm handgun.
The Associated Press identified the two victims as brothers yesterday. Police told Channel 6 they do not yet have a motive for the shooting.
The police description of the shooter’s vehicle is a “dark colored vehicle possibly with dark tinted windows.”
