Gangster Vegan Organics Is Coming to University City

Fact: The juice world is full of creative product names. Because let’s be honest, juiced carrots aren’t going to sell themselves. But Gangster Vegan Organics, helmed by Vince DePaul, might just have the best juice names in the game. Think: Illmatic, Flava in Ya Ear, Soul 4 Real, Funkdafied and many more. There’s something about those names that just makes you want to down liquified kale, am I right? And soon, those cleverly named juices and smoothies will be making their way to University City.
The other day, DePaul, known as VinnyVegan on Instagram, posted a photo of a storefront at 43rd and Locust Streets with the caption, “It’s finally official! Gangster Vegan Organics PT.2 the sequel! Coming soon to West Philly/University City! 43rd and Locust!”
This location will be the second for the shop, which, along with wonderfully named juices and smoothies, also serves up tons of raw, vegan food: raw pizza, taco salads, raw sushi (called Too Trill on the menu) and more. DePaul opened the first Gangster Vegan Organics location in Norristown back in November of last year.
No word on when he plans to open the doors to the University City spot, but until then, you can always have your Soul 4 Real and Illmatic delivered from the Norristown location. Phew.
