Boo, Girl, Boo: Terror Behind the Walls Hosting LGBT Night
Put on your big-girl panties and get prepared to be spooked: The Eastern State Penitentiary’s Terror Behind the Walls is presenting a LGBT night that will sure to leave you screaming.
The special discounted evening on Thursday, October 8 features access to all six Terror Behind the Walls attractions, plus, as an added bonus, ticket holders get admission to The Speakeasy at Al Capone’s Cell where they will receive two complementary drinks.
The legendary Halloween favorite, which is celebrating 25 years this season, has scared the living daylights out of folks for a long time. This year, there are two new features:
“Inside Quarantine: 4D, you learn of an infectious outbreak, whose symptoms include hallucinations, blurry vision, distorted depth perception, and other mind-altering effects. Flat walls appear to have depth, creatures emerge from (seemingly) nowhere, and some brave visitors will be challenged to face their worst fears. Also new for 2015 is Break Out, the final attraction in this year’s show. Just when you think you’ve found freedom, you find yourself in the middle of a prison break! Inmates surround you using every way imaginable to escape, including barrels, ropes, tunnels, ladders and crates. Keep an eye out at every corner, as inmates may even be using YOU to aid in their attempt to gain freedom.”
Yes, the actors can touch you throughout the exhibit; In fact, the Eastern State folks say that, should you make the decision to “interact” with the goblins, you “may be grabbed, held back, sent into hidden passageways, removed from [your] group, and even occasionally [be] incorporated into the show.”
Tickets to the special LGBT night are only available online, and come at a pretty substantial discount: $20 gets you access to the attraction plus the drink specials mentioned above. For more information, or to purchase tickets, click here.
