Verdad Reopens Tomorrow With A New Menu

I have to admit, I didn’t know that Verdad was closed.

But it was. And now we get to write a post to tell you that it was indeed closed, but is opening back up this Friday, July 17th. So, good news!

Chef/owner Nick Farina closed the restaurant on July 5th because he wanted to “refresh its brand.” After years on the Main Line, he was looking to change things up, so he designed a completely new menu–one he hopes will be more challenging for him and his crew, and more indicative of their creativity, as he plans on doing more specials. Lots more specials, actually.

For starters, look for off-menu specials one to two nights a week. Though they’ll only be available for a couple nights each,  apparently if you know of the special (or remember one that you’ve had recently), you can still order it even when it’s not officially available.

The restaurants old tapas theme will remain mostly intact, but with some revisions like a taco menu, more family-style plates and, again, more specials.

Verdad’s New Summer Menu

Wanna see these changes for yourself? Well good, because Verdad is hosting a re-launching event this Friday for it’s re-opening with a happy hour and hard shell crab fiesta, featuring $3 margaritas and craft beers from 5 to 7 pm, and a $25 all-you-can-eat Latin-spiced hard shell crab feast.

This Friday’s fiesta marks the first of many. That all-you-can-eat crab special? It’ll be a regular thing, happening every Friday through the end of summer. The entire table can indulge in hard shell crabs with avocado and tomato salad, roasted potatoes, corn-on-the-cob and freshly baked bread. One catch? The food is only unlimited for the hour and a half that you’ve reserved the table, so get cracking people.

You can also enjoy the crab special any night of the week if you order 24 hours in advance.
