A New Concept Called The Logan to Replace the Four Seasons by November
We finally know what hotel will be replacing the just-closed Four Seasons at One Logan Square on the Parkway. Host Hotels & Resorts and Sage Hospitality have announced that a new concept called the Logan will look to open in the iconic location by the fall. A press release states, “the Logan, Philadelphia’s hotel, will immediately begin taking reservations for arriving guests in November 2015.”
The pieces have been slowly put into place over the past few months. In December, Foobooz told us that the hotel will flaunt a farm-to-table steakhouse called Urban Farmer. Most recently, we got a sneak peek at the revamped lobby from traditional to artsy, modern and industrial. Today, we have a better idea about the overall vision for the new 390-room hotel inspired by Logan Square’s namesake, renaissance man James Logan.
After the $28 million renovation is complete, the 4.5-star hotel will be part of a luxury line of brands called Curio – A Collection by Hilton and chockfull of fresh colors, art-inspired decor and plenty of new spaces. That list includes:
- Spa and fitness center with indoor heated pool
- Lobby with lounge space and bar
- All new ballroom, redesigned meeting and banquet spaces with new catering menu
- Rooftop terrace with cabanas and Parkway views
According to the Logan’s website, the re-designed rooms and suites will feature local artwork, luxurious linens, a 42-inch flat screen TV, Wi-Fi, iPod/iPhone docking stations and either courtyard or Parkway views. The site also promises that the Presidential Suite “[will be] the new standard of urban luxury among Philadelphia hotels.”
Here’s more from the release:
“When the doors re-open, Philadelphia can expect something truly unique, a hotel they will be extremely proud of,” said Walter Isenberg, President and CEO of Sage Hospitality. “Everything about this transformation is inspired by the city, its people, its magic and grit. The Logan will be something that visitors and locals don’t just think of as a hotel, but as Philadelphia’s favorite place to be. Guests will not want to leave and Philadelphians will want to be there.”
The new designs are a total revamp of the traditional Four Seasons motif and the release states renovations “to the building will leave it almost unrecognizable, transformed in an artful, curated manner.” Check out the gallery of renderings below to get a better idea about what that will look like come November.
