Monday Obsession: The Grown-Up Version of the Candy Necklace

The jewelry designs of Bala Cynwyd-based designer Joie DiGiovanni lean to bohemian side, with a splash of the spiritual — beads, stones, horns, evil eyes, Buddhas. But a few tricks keep the collection from feeling same-old, and my favorite of the bunch is this quartet of bracelets, made from vintage African vinyl discs. The glitzy bar keeps the jewelry from feeling too twee, but the childlike bent is why I’ve fallen for them. After all, who doesn’t wish to wear a version of the candy necklace every day?
