Meanwhile, another cornerback name surfaces:

— Eliot Shorr-Parks (@EliotShorrParks) March 8, 2015
6:04: Sounds like Devin McCourty is still a possibility:
Re McCourty, multiple sources indicate the #Eagles have made a strong push to be in position to sign him. Considering fallback options, too. — Rand Getlin (@Rand_Getlin) March 8, 2015
5:51: After all that he’s heard about Jason Pierre-Paul, it would be something if Brandon Graham teamed up with the fellow first-round pick:
As @DanGrazianoESPN said earlier, #Giants also have interest in #Eagles OLB/DE Brandon Graham. Pass rush remains a priority. — Jordan Raanan (@JordanRaanan) March 8, 2015
5:38: A Mark Sanchez update:
Titans are showing decent interest in Mark Sanchez, sources say. A return to Philly remains a possibility. We’ll see how this plays out. — Mike Garafolo (@MikeGarafolo) March 8, 2015
And it sounds like offensive lineman Orlando Franklin won’t be coming to Philadelphia:
Source on Saturday characterized OL Orlando Franklin to Chargers as “unofficially done.” Continue to hear same. — Michael Gehlken (@UTgehlken) March 8, 2015
5:07: Some more details on the Frank Gore deal:

4:31: Looks like Frank Gore to Philly is happening.
Free-agent RB Frank Gore has told people he will sign this week with the Philadelphia Eagles, league sources told me and @caplannfl. — Adam Schefter (@AdamSchefter) March 8, 2015
3:44 pm: The buzz on Frank Gore potentially landing in Philadelphia continues to grow:
Source indicates the #49ers are bracing to lose Frank Gore. Has an offer on the table from the #Eagles averaging $5M+, $7M in guarantees. — Rand Getlin (@Rand_Getlin) March 8, 2015
3:41 pm: A couple more sources have confirmed the Maxwell deal:
Will join @JaysonBraddock as saying CB Byron Maxwell to the Eagles seems like a done deal at $50m+ over 5 with $25m in guarantees. — Mike Garafolo (@MikeGarafolo) March 8, 2015
And I only say “seems” because no one ever can truly know for sure. Michael Bennett “seemed” destined for Chicago last year at this point. — Mike Garafolo (@MikeGarafolo) March 8, 2015
I can confirm via a source. RT @JaysonBraddock Byron Maxwell deal is done, will become an Eagle Tuesday w/ $25 mil guaranteed — Jimmy Kempski (@JimmyKempski) March 8, 2015
2:26 pm: According to one report, Byron Maxwell to the Eagles is a done deal:
Byron Maxwell deal is done. Guarantee came in higher after more discussion. Byron Maxwell will become an Eagle Tuesday w/ $25 mil guaranteed — Jayson Braddock (@JaysonBraddock) March 8, 2015
Deal also changed from 6 year $63 mil. It’s now reportedly set to be a 5 year deal around $53 to 54 million. Byron Maxwell / Eagles — Jayson Braddock (@JaysonBraddock) March 8, 2015
A reminder, however, that nothing can be made official until 4 p.m. Tuesday.
2:02 pm: A Devin McCourty update:
My sense on McCourty is that Giants, Eagles are both in the bidding and highly motivated, Pats still hopeful of keeping him. — Dan Graziano (@DanGrazianoESPN) March 8, 2015
1:58 pm: Earlier today, NJ.com reported that the Eagles have interest in running back Frank Gore. According to Ian Rapoport, Gore could very well be on his way out of San Francisco.
The #49ers believe they are losing long-time star RB Frank Gore, I’m told. They are starting to look around themselves. — Ian Rapoport (@RapSheet) March 8, 2015
The Colts are reportedly interested in Gore as well. 1:27: More on a potential deal with Byron Maxwell:
The Eagles have set the parameters of a deal for Maxwell that consists of 6 years $63 million with $23.5 mil fully guaranteed. $13.5 year 1 — Jayson Braddock (@JaysonBraddock) March 8, 2015
Byron Maxwell still hasn’t agreed in principle. Really likes Seattle, will give them chance to counter. 1st offer (SEA) back loaded. — Jayson Braddock (@JaysonBraddock) March 8, 2015
The Eagles are making it tough for Byron Maxwell to say “no”. $13.5 mil year one is enticing. — Jayson Braddock (@JaysonBraddock) March 8, 2015
12:41: Details of the new LeSean McCoy contract:
LeSean McCoy and Bills have agreed on a $16M first year total with $26.5M total guaranteed and $40M over 5 years, per @RosenhausSports — Adam Schefter (@AdamSchefter) March 8, 2015
12:15: Jeff McLane fired off a series of interesting tweets:
Last I heard, #Eagles hadn’t expressed interest in Davon House. RT @reddog2188: Has to happen, “Maxwell House” as our starting CB tandem. — Jeff McLane (@Jeff_McLane) March 8, 2015
#Eagles aren’t currently in on Brian Orakpo. At all. RT @tha_funk: Orakpo would be cheaper? — Jeff McLane (@Jeff_McLane) March 8, 2015
#Eagles are definitely involved, per two NFL sources. RT @phinphood9: any news on Orlando Franklin? Or will Eagles be priced out — Jeff McLane (@Jeff_McLane) March 8, 2015
LeSean McCoy and #Bills have agreed upon new 5-yr contract once trade w/ #Eagles is finalized on Tues, per NFL sources. Told it’s a whopper. — Jeff McLane (@Jeff_McLane) March 8, 2015
11:59: The Colts and Todd Herremans have agreed to a one-year, $3.5 million contract. Here’s what the veteran guard told ESPN’s Josina Anderson: “It was a different experience for me going through trying to find a whole new team. Indy seems like a good fit for me and a good opportunity to start. I want to compete for a Super Bowl. I’ve been close before but never quite close enough. I had a good time speaking with their offensive line coach and their general manager Ryan Grigson. I know him from when he was in Philadelphia. It was good to reconnect. I have a good feeling about it. I’m really excited to get started.”
10:58: There hasn’t been a ton of movement on the outside linebacker front of yet. Jason Worilds is still out there. Yesterday, the Eagles were linked to Brian Orakpo. Brandon Graham is expected to have several suitors. The Bears have apparently expressed some level of interest. Chicago, though, is switching to a 3-4 defense. Ideally, Graham wants to be in a 4-3.
10:50: The Byron Maxwell buzz is only picking up.
The #Eagles are currently willing to pay CB Byron Maxwell north of $10M per year, per a source. Top of the market. — Rand Getlin (@Rand_Getlin) March 8, 2015
Kareem Jackson signed a four-year, $34 million deal ($20 million guaranteed) to stay in Houston. He was listed as the sixth-best free-agent corner by Rotoworld. Maxwell, largely considered the top corner in free agency, is going to be compensated very well.
8:14 a.m. – According to Eliot Shorr-Parks of NJ.com, the Eagles have expressed interest in 49ers running back Frank Gore. Gore turns 32 in May. He carried 255 times for 1,106 yards last year, averaging 4.3 YPC and scoring four touchdowns. He was not much of a receiving threat with just 11 catches. The 49ers have said they want Gore back.
Meanwhile, Mike Reiss of ESPN Boston offers his take on the Patriots’ chances of bringing Devin McCourty back:
Safety Devin McCourty hits the open market with a few notable things going for him. His 17 interceptions since entering the NFL in 2010 are tied for fourth among active players over that span; he’s played 91 percent of the Patriots’ snaps from 2010-2014, with only Tom Brady playing more; and he and Charles Woodson are the only players in the last five seasons with at least five interceptions when lined up as a safety and as a cornerback. I think the Patriots would like him back, but an educated guess is that if the bidding goes much higher than $8 million per season, the Patriots would be reluctant to match it.
Jason Cole of Bleacher Report suggests it will get a little higher than that:
Word is that Devin McCourty is looking for $9M per year, just like Jairus Byrd got from #Saints last year. — Jason Cole (@JasonPhilCole) March 8, 2015
As noted yesterday, the Eagles are said to be very interested in McCourty.
