United by Blue Celebrates First Store-in-Store Concept at State & Union Tonight

Good news: Environmentally conscious local clothier United By Blue is expanding — sort of. The lifestyle brand is known for its weather-ready waxed canvas bags, comfy tees and classic accessories (it seems like everyone was rocking this beanie this winter). And currently, they have two Philly locations: a flagship in Old City and a recently opened spot in University City.
But now, shoppers will also be able to get their hands on UBB merch at Kennett Square’s hip heritage lifestyle shop State & Union. State & Union has carved out a section of its shop to stock the entire line of United By Blue apparel, bags and accessories. State & Union owner Doug Harris tells us it will differ from a pop-up shop in that it’s intended to become a permanent addition to State & Union.
And though the new section has been up and running for the last few weeks, they’re celebrating the new concept tonight with foods, drinks and live music.
The event is tonight from 5pm to 10pm and shoppers are invited to the peruse both brands’ goods while noshing on food from Portabellos and sipping beer from Victory Brewing Company.
