The Nutcracker Market At the Kimmel Center Opens Today
Gift-shopping alert: The Pennsylvania Ballet’s Nutcracker Market kicks off tonight with a ticketed preview party, and then opens officially to the public tomorrow at 11am. The pop-up shop, which takes place at the Kimmel Center, goes through Sunday, December 14th.
What you’ll find: over 75 vendors selling gift-worthy items, like artwork, paper goods, jewelry, edibles and toys (for kids and pets), spread out over three levels. The market is a fundraiser for the ballet company and its school, and the Jose Garces Group will provide food and drinks.
The market runs Thursday, December 11th through Saturday, December 13th, from 11am to 8pm, and Sunday, December 14th from 11am to 5pm. See a full vendor list here. My suggestion? Head there on Friday—that’s when G Philly is hosting its LGBT night. You’ll get to meet the Pennsylvania Ballet dancers, hear some very festive numbers from the Philadelphia Gay Men’s Chorus, and sip on Garces cocktails.
