The pads were on Wednesday and Todd Herremans was out there, a large wrap around his left arm to protect his torn biceps.

He lined up with the first team once again and was listed as a full participant on the practice report. The 10-year vet will try to push through the pain in hopes of playing Sunday.

“A lot of it will be Todd’s determination and what he can and can’t do,” said Chip Kelly. “We’ll just sit down and visit with him at the end of the week and make a determination of what he can and can’t do. From a guy like him, a veteran like him that understands himself and has been through a lot, a lot of that is on him and our [medical] staff. None of it is my call. I don’t make any calls on who plays and who doesn’t play, it’s really our medical team making a decision of can he play, and then Todd’s decision of if he can play.”

Herremans took part in individual drills at the start of the training session. Here’s a brief clip of him doing some light work against the pads:

Kelly said that either Andrew Gardner or Dennis Kelly will serve as the primary backup at right guard. Gardner was playing right guard with the second team during the portion of practice open to reporters.

From left to right, the first-team offensive line looked like this: Jason Peters, Matt Tobin, Jason Kelce, Herremans and Lane Johnson.

Nate Allen and Brandon Boykin were sidelined for the second straight day because of hamstring injuries. Both are considered day-to-day.

Kelce (sports hernia), Mychal Kendricks (calf), Darren Sproles (knee), Jeff Maehl (foot), DeMeco Ryans (groin) and Jaylen Watkins (wrist) were all full participants along with Herremans. Brad Smith (groin) was limited.
