Make Soap And Drink Beer at Duross & Langel Tomorrow

Well, this is the sort of event that makes you feel like you live in a charming Rob Reiner rom-com: a Friday evening in a cozy local soap shop, clinking beer glasses with the quick-witted, friendly owner as he bustles about and shows you how to make soap.
The free event at Duross & Langel is from 5:30pm to 7pm—pop in when you like, leave when you like. It takes place in the shop’s second-floor test kitchen, where they’ll be pouring local brews and walking you through the process of making beer soap (beer soap!).
The only rules: You’ve got to be at least 13 to come, and have an ID to enjoy the complimentary beverages. Or, as owner Steve Duross puts it (in the way a funny, saucy shopkeep would): “No drunks. No crybabies. No sass.”
Then, of course, the rest is history: a handsome-but-not-too-handsome guy/girl (who owns a local bookshop, or a mom-and-pop Italian restaurant!) will wander in, at which point you both will fall in love under Steve’s watchful eye and—after a few hiccups (you work for Barnes & Noble, or the Olive Garden! And you put him/her out of business!)—you will get married and live happily ever after, and enjoy free soap for life.*
