It’s not surprising that visitors want to stay a while in beautiful Bucks County.

At Peddler’s Village in Lahaska, travelers will find the Golden Plough Inn, a boutique inn with an 18th century town-and-country vibe and a fresh, new decor that reflects the inn’s natural surroundings.

The inn’s three-story main building at the intersection of Route 202 and Street Road is an inviting home away from home. A $1-million renovation includes 22 oversized guest rooms, a welcoming lobby with a 24-hour coffee station and a convenient, high-tech business center. The inn’s additional 49 rooms throughout the village have also been refreshed.

The Jamison family, owners of the Peddler’s Village shopping and dining destination, turned to award-winning designer AJ Margulis of Pennington, N.J., to create a boutique setting with the upscale intimacy of a country home.

Rooms are appointed with gas fireplaces, original art, mahogany furniture and upgraded mattresses and linens. Chenille and velvet upholstery is soft and sumptuous. The color palette features warm neutrals, accented with rich pops of red, green and blue.

In the bathroom, guests are showered with luxury, including plush towels, soaking tubs, lighted mirrors and quartz-top vanities. Classic white subway tiles are crisp and clean.

Modern technology has been seamlessly integrated into each room, including a flat-screen TV and iPod decking station. WiFi is free. Traveling with the kids? Some rooms include Murphy beds, ideal for families traveling with children.

In addition to the indulgences of a fine hotel, expect some of the comforts of home. Each room is equipped with a fridge and iron with ironing board.

Guests are typically in a hurry to enjoy shopping, Giggleberry Fair for kids, seasonal festivals and the other attractions at Peddler’s Village. Not to worry that there’s not enough time for breakfast.

The Golden Plough accommodates guests-on-the-go with a convenient, complimentary breakfast downstairs in the Buttonwood Grill. The enhanced continental breakfast options include signature hot breakfast sandwiches, a veggie burrito, a bakery basket of oven-fresh breads and pastries and a Healthy Starts menu of fruits, yogurts, house granola and fresh juices.

To welcome guests, the Golden Plough is offering inviting promotional rates. Check out the offers and more information on The Golden Plough Inn, Peddler’s Village, (215) 794-4004, Route 202 and State Road, Lahaska, PA, here.
