Here’s a roundup of what the media are saying about the Eagles following their 30-27 win over the Colts.

Doug Farrar of SI.com gives three important thoughts about the Eagles’ Week 2 victory:

At Oregon, Chip Kelly’s teams had a reputation for falling asleep in the first halves of games, only to roar back to life in the final 30 minutes of their games. That’s transferred to the NFL in Kelly’s case, as the Eagles became the first team in NFL history to start their season 2-0 despite trailing each of their games by 14 or more points.

NFL.com’s Gregg Rosenthal talks about the Eagles’ comeback mentality:

It’s almost like Kelly has created a quarterback-proof offense. The Eagles have scored 64 points in two weeks despite poor play by Nick Foles. The Colts, meanwhile, fall to 0-2 after blowing a game they controlled for nearly the entire night.

Kevin Patra of NFL.com discusses Darren Sproles and how he has fit in with the Eagles:

Reminder: The Eagles traded a measly fifth-round pick to the Saints for Sproles — who was on the verge of being cut by New Orleans. That trade is already looking like highway robbery by Chip Kelly and company, especially when compared to the first-round pick Monday’s opponent gave up for the rights to Trent Richardson.

Brendan Porath of SB Nation writes about how the officiating impacted the Eagles-Colts game:

The first was a missed penalty on Eagles defensive back Brandon Boykin. We heard so much about the officials emphasizing illegal contact and holding penalties on the defensive backs downfield this season. The persistent barrage of flags for these infractions made the typically bland NFL preseason even more intolerable.

ESPN Stats & Information breaks down the Eagles-Colts game by the numbers:

The Elias Sports Bureau notes the Eagles are the first team in NFL history to start 2-0 after trailing by 14 or more points in the second half of each game.

They are only the fourth team over the past 30 years to win consecutive games in which it trailed by 14 or more points in the second half.

Pete Prisco of CBSSports.com bumped the Eagles up two spots to sixth in his power rankings.

They run the ball out of that spread the way you’re supposed to run it: with a lot of space. The defense has some issues, though.

Mike Wells of ESPN.com writes about how the officiating hurt Indianapolis:

Everybody saw the hold except the officials. Colts coach Chuck Pagano didn’t hide his anger when he saw the replay on the video board inside Lucas Oil Stadium on Monday night or when he talked about it during his postgame media conference following the 30-27 loss.

Phil Sheridan of ESPN.com talks about LeSean McCoy‘s relationship with Darren Sproles:

LeSean McCoy has an ego. Most great athletes do. McCoy can’t resist taking little jabs at other great NFL running backs, because he believes he’s as good as any of them.

The flip side is that McCoy has appreciation for other elite players. And there’s no getting around it: For two games now, McCoy has been the second-best running back on the Philadelphia Eagles. The NFL’s 2013 rushing champion has been in awe of his new teammate, Darren Sproles.
