The Designers: Melissa Choi, 30, and Pia Panaligan, 31, Philadelphia University grads, founders of Senpai + Kohai clothing line.
The Look: Party dress with tulle underskirt, sequined shoulder straps and digitally printed sequined fabric on bodice.
The Inspiration: “Handcrafted textiles from around the world.”
Design Notes: The bodice is made in part from vintage Indian embroidery they found in a Delhi market. The three-tiered, asymmetrical polyblend skirt features an organza border and a tulle underlining.
