GAGGING: Judge Judy Hears Her First Case On Grindr
It was bound to happen: everyone’s favorite daytime television courtroom mama, Judge Judy, finally heard a case involving Grindr and money, and, to use her words, it was a bunch of baloney. After listening to the arguments of the plaintiff and defendant, it’s pretty clear this was a Sugar Daddy meet-up gone wrong, and Judy cut right to the B.S.
But first, someone had to explain to her what Grindr is…
Leave it to the young whippersnapper defendant to explain it like this: “Grindr, it’s an app. For your phone or your iPad. It’s a social app that tells you where homosexual males are and their proximity. To where you are.”
As if this wasn’t ridiculous enough, guess where the pair decided to meet for their first “date”? Applebees. Now that’s damn sexy.
Even though Judy had never heard of Grindr before the case, it didn’t take her long to figure out exactly why the two men were both on the app. She even told the defendant that there was no way he was on Grindr looking for “friends.”
“I mean, if I were looking to just make friends, I wouldn’t go on a website that said, you know, it’s just for little old Jewish ladies,” she snapped.
In the end, the judge threw out the case, and I can’t blame her. Best put by Judy herself, the two men left her gagging.
I’m sure the plaintiff felt the same way about his younger date.
