Sid & Nancy and Repo Man at the Trocadero
The Awesome Fest continues this week with an Alex Cox double feature at the The Trocadero Theatre. Celebrate the 30th anniversary of the 1980's quintessential cult film, Repo Man, with a back-to-back Cox film screening. Doors open at 6:30 p.m, with Sid & Nancy beginning at 8 p.m., followed by Repo Man. Admission is $3, and goes toward a drink or a snack. The Michael Pedicin Quintet feat. Justin Faulkner
From 7 Shows To See This Week: As Camden County's free Sunset Jazz Series rolls on, fans will get a chance to hear one the best Jazz musicians to come from Philly. The 97 year-old bandleader and renowned tenor saxophonist Michael Pedicin will lead the show and is sure to include his signature eloquent improvisations. Fellow Philadelphia-native Justin Faulkner, will be accompanying Pedicin on the drums. These two local artists are sure to please when they play their home crowd. Monday, June 30th, 8 p.m., Free of cost, Wiggins Park, Mickle Boulevard at the River.

It wouldn't be a summer week in Philly without great alfresco movies to catch. Wawa Welcome America festival is presenting free, outdoor movies this week in several locations around the city. First, get prepared for a sing-a-long and head to Franklin Square on Monday, June 30th for a screening of the Disney smash hit, Frozen. Next, Rittenhouse Square will host our favorite leading lady, Katniss Everdeen, in The Hunger Games: Catching Fire on Tuesday, July 1st. Finally, in quintessential Philly fashion, jog up to the Philadelphia Museum of Art on Wednesday, July 2nd to catch Rocky. The Searchlight Series: Dice Raw at Eastern State Penitentiary
The Searchlight Series at Eastern State Penitentiary presents an evening with Grammy-nominated artist Dice Raw. In the U.S., black males are jailed at nearly six times the rate of white males. Raw, a Philly native—best known for his work with The Roots— will host an evening of discussion about this major incarceration issue in America. He will also perform a selection of songs from his new album, Jimmy's Back, which features artists that are nearly all ex-felons. Don't miss out on the opportunity for enlightening discussion paired with excellent music. The event is free and open to the public. Longwood Gardens Summer Series: Rufus Wainwright
From 7 Shows To See This Week: When Sir Elton John calls you the greatest songwriter on the planet, you know you have made it. Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter Rufus Wainwright will be playing his gut-wrenching top hits as part of Longwood Garden's Summer Series. The Philadelphia Orchestra at Penn's Landing
Join The Philadelphia Orchestra as they take the RiverStage for a free concert this Tuesday night at the Great Plaza at Penn's Landing. The show will be followed by a land-side fireworks display to get you in the Fourth of July spirit. While you're there, don't forget to check out the new amenities of Spruce Street Harbor Park. The Pastorius Park Summer Concert Series is back for its third week of free outdoor entertainment. Screening Under The Stars
The Penn's Landing outdoor movie series is back with one of our favorite cult classics. This week, catch The Goonies under the stars at the Great Plaza at Penn's Landing. Enjoy the amazing waterfront view and a movie on the big screen, starting at dusk this Thursday, July 3rd. As always, admission is free, but be sure to arrive early to get a good spot.
