Chef Adam Leonti of Vetri first met the brain-trust behind Pittsburgh’s famed, Bar Marco, when they dined as guests in Vetri’s main dining room. The group immediately clicked over their shared passion for contributing to their local communities through food education. Continuing their friendship as culinary pen-pals across the state of Pennsylvania, swapping ideas and insights,Chef Adam and the Bar Marco team resolved to collaborate in the kitchen for a multi-course dinner to support their respective foundations: Food Revolution Pittsburgh and the Vetri Foundation for Children. On opposite sides of the state, in Pennsylvania’s two largest cities, both organizations are committed to educating Pennsylvania’s youth about healthy eating and living. The menu for this dinner will be drawn from the mutual inspiration Vetri and Bar Marco share for regional Italian cuisine. Pairing with their menu will be premium wines from Italy’s most lauded grape growing regions.

Seating is limited to 16 guests.$300 per person, plus tax and gratuity, with proceeds benefiting the Vetri Foundation for Children.

Pennsylvania Farm Dinner with Ian Brendle
July 20, 2014

No chef can achieve excellence in their menu without pristine product. In our continued effort to serve our guests the pinnacle of what each season has to offer, Chef Adam Leonti has come to rely upon and trust inherently the impeccable produce brought to our door each day by farmer Ian Brendle of Green Meadow Farm in Lancaster County. The symbiotic relationship between Chef Adam and Ian is what makes possible the farm-to-table experience enjoyed by our guests, and is what ensures that each dish leaving our kitchen represents the benchmark of quality for which we strive. On July 20th, Chef Adam and Farmer Ian will be teaming up to create a six-course Summer Farm Dinner, highlighting the spoils of the season at Green Meadow Farm and the greater Lancaster county. Paired with each course will be premium wines selected with the purpose of showcasing the beauty of product achieved when dedication pride, and sustainable farming practices come together in the field.

Tickets for this dinner are limited to 16; $300 per person, plus tax and gratuity.

Founded in 1897, Nino Negri is the oldest winery in the Valtellina Valley and has become one of its premier winemaking estates under the guidance of winemaker Casimiro Maule, who has worked there since 1971. Our special guest and host for this dinner will be Sara Maule, daughter of esteemed winemaker Casimiro Maule, and brand ambassador for Nino Negri. Since Sara was 16, she has accompanied her father in his travels around the world, promoting, educating and building awareness of Nino Negri and Valtellina outside Italy. For this special occasion, Chef Adam Leonti and Sara will be teaming up to create a seven-course meal highlighting the extraordinary wines of Nino Negri. Your ticket is inclusive of an aperitivo hour with Sara and Chef Adam, as well as the multi-course meal and accompanying wine pairings. Throughout, Sara will regale us with the stories of her wines and their significance in Italian viniculture. This dinner will occur in the privacy of Vetri’s brand new private dining space, ensuring an intimate, bespoke event.
