Hunter Hayes to End 24-Hour Tour at the Trocadero
Pint-sized country singer Hunter Hayes has a lofty goal: He wants to beat the Guinness World Record for most concerts played in multiple cities in a 24-hour period. So on May 9th he’s kicking off the “Hunter Hayes 24 Hour Road Race to End Child Hunger” tour. He begins in New York City at 8 a.m. on the set of Good Morning America. From there he’ll hit the road, playing ditties in nine other cities (listed below) before he hits his final stop — a sold-out show at Philly’s Trocadero — at 5 a.m. on May 10th.
The current record is held by the Flaming Lips, which played eight shows in 2012 during the O Music Awards. Hayes’ will not only attempt to beat that, but, by partnering with Collegeville, Pa., packaged foods company ConAgra Foods, he’s using the stint as a way to raise awareness of child hunger.
The event is already sold out, but hardcore fans can at least be there to wave to the sleepy-eyed crooner when he comes barreling through at 5 a.m. I’ve listed his complete itinerary below:
