Skirt Boutique Launches New Shopping Box Service

We at Shoppist love local boutiques probably more than anyone else, but we have to admit, online shopping is really freakin’ convenient sometimes. Still, when you need a new outfit stat and the only option is to tack on $20.95 for overnight delivery, sometimes even that isn’t fast enough. That’s where Skirt comes in.

The Bryn Mawr boutique just launched a new style box service. Here’s how it works:

• Fill out their fantastically detailed questionnaire here. Of course there are the requisite questions about your style and sizes, but they throw in some unexpected ones to hone in on outfits you’d really want to wear (think: “What brands are already in your closet” and “How do you like your tops to fit?”). You can even upload a picture of yourself.
• Input your credit card information. It’s only a $1 authorization until you decide to purchase anything in the box. It’s kind of like Warby Parker’s home try-on.
• Get same-day delivery on your first style box within a 20 mile radius of Bryn Mawr. Plus, there are free returns.
• Try on your goods in the comfort of your home and pay for what you keep — you have 10 days to decide. There’s a pre-paid UPS label included in the package for anything you return.

They stock drool-worthy brands like Diane von Furstenberg, Vince, Elizabeth and James, and Rebecca Taylor, so a style box sounds like Christmas morning in the middle of spring. Sign us up.
