The Weekender Happy Hour: Izakaya at the Borgata

What to Drink: Any of the $7 cocktails, like the simple Sake Lemonade (sake,
lemon, and club soda) or the refreshing Cucumber Cocktail (gin, yuzu, shiso, and cucumber), or $3.50 Kirin Ichiban beer. Yeah, we know these don’t exactly seem like your typical happy hour prices, but this is the Borgata.

What to Eat: Izakaya has one of A.C.’s most consistently good menus, so it’s hard to go wrong, but we have a strong affinity for the pork rib robatayaki, unagi sushi, and mushroom and shiso goat cheese pizza, all $7.

When to Go: The only bad thing about happy hour at Izakaya is that it’s only
on Mondays — perfect if you’re spending a long weekend at the beach.
