WEEKEND ROUNDUP: The Match Game, Kwanzaa-palooza and Pre-New Years Celebrations
What gay doesn’t love one of the most dirty-innuendo-filled game shows in American television history? The Match Game featured celebs answering priceless questions like, “The police commissioner said, ‘I think Batman and Robin are blank?’” Click here to see how that particular question played out on TV, or revisit the show in real-time when Voyeur hosts its own version of the Match Game, called “Match Game for MANNA,” on Friday.
There are tons of reasons why this version is even better than the original: no commercials, go-go boys, discounted drinks and some of your favorite Gayborhood celebrities. Players for the night include Meg Rider, Ryan Breslin, Drew Bev Gaver, Matt O’Neill, some of the Bearlesque boys (who will also be strutting their stuff on Saturday), and more. There are sure to be interesting questions and even more interesting answers all night long.
Best of all, your cover charge will support MANNA, a PA-based organization that supports the ill and terminally ill by providing them with the nourishing meals that they need. The doors open at 9:00 and the game starts at 10:00. For more information on Match Game for MANNA click here. Fri., Dec. 26, 9 p.m., $5, Voyeur, 1221 Saint James St.
