Philadelphia’s Most Expensive Fixer-Upper Finally Sells!

Back when I was editor of Curbed Philly, I wrote about a five story, seven-bedroom manse at 21st and Delancey — an address one would certainly considerable desirable. In addition to the rooms a’plenty, the home has an elevator, an attached garage, a butler’s pantry and almost 5,000 square feet of living space.

Still, it needed plenty of work, which may be what kept it on the market for a long time. It was first listed in February 2012 for $1.8 million. Less than a month later, it then went down to $1.75 million. A few months after that, the price dropped again to $1.7 million. In the fall of 2012, it had hit $1.575 million. But the February 2013 price change to $1.495 million fostered a pending sale that seems to have fallen through. Now, at long last, the house has definitely sold for $1.425 million.

Way to go, little million-dollar mansion that could!
