Pending Sale: Unit in Wilson Eyre’s Chestnut Hill Anglecot House

Wilson Eyre Jr., who designed the Mask and Wig Club on Camac Street, built Chestnut Hill’s Anglecot as a single-family residence in 1883 when he was just 25 years old (he was not living with his parents to pay off his student loan). Not surprisingly, the influential home on the National Register of Historic Places was converted from single-family to condos in the ’80s, and Unit B, which has been on the market since March, is now listed as a pending sale on Redfin. The asking price for the unit — the largest in the building — was $695,000.
